Ron Howard grew up in show business. Not only was he a child star appearing in movies alongside his father Rance Howard, but he made a name for himself throughout his childhood, adolescence and early adult years as the co-star on shows like The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days, not to mention films like American Graffiti. Since then he’s gone on to become an acclaimed filmmaker nominated for countless awards. A little lesser known is his brother Clint Howard. Though the younger son of the Howard family appeared alongside his brother and father in many productions, he never quite became a certified star. But that hasn’t stopped him from carving out a nice career as one of the most recognizable character actors in… [Read More...]

“Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4 Looks Wild!
I stopped watching AMC’s “The Walking Dead” spinoff “Fear the Walking Dead” after its debut season. While I enjoyed it, the finale didn’t leave me begging for more, and I just never came back to it. Now, with the fourth season set to premiere on Sunday, April 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, AMC has sent me a shit ton of images that are ridiculously cool. The zombies look rad, and I love the Army of Darkness-esque shot above. Also, the cast is just so goddamn good, with Garret Dillahunt having joined the ensamble at some point. I may actually try to catch up and binge the series this coming weekend… In Season 4 of “Fear the Walking Dead”, we will see the world … [Read More...]

From the producers of The House of the Devil and Compliance. Rob Mockler makes his directorial debut with Like Me, which Kino Lorber is bringing to select theaters on January 26, 2018, and VOD in February. Produced by indie horror veteran Larry Fessenden, it promises to “take the viewer into a world of fabricated personalities and offer a thought-provoking portrait of isolation in our increasingly digital world.” The footage shows star Addison Timlin in her own trippy world that gives nods to cult classics such as David Cronenberg’s Videodrome and Gregg Araki’s The Doom Generation, not to mention Max Headroom. Lionsgate and CBS Films’ Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built stars Academy Award winner Helen Mirren as firearm heiress Sarah Winchester who spent decades using her fortune to expand upon her home, and no one is quite sure why. The most common belief? She was cursed by spirits who demanded she never stop building. Directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Daybreakers, Predestination, Jigsaw), this morning we shared a brand new trailer, while we now have several atmospheric shots as shown below. In the film, “On an isolated stretch of land 50 miles outside of San Francisco sits the most haunted house in the world. [Exclusive] Artist Al Magliochetti Talks the Visual Effects of ‘Jason Goes to Hell’
The ninth installment in the lucrative Friday the 13th franchise, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, is widely considered the bastard film that was disowned by almost every viewer upon its entrance into the world in 1993. Writer Dean Lorey went for an out-of-the-box storyline that had our favorite hockey-masked killer, Jason Voorhees, getting blown to kingdom come and having his essence of evil transferred to… other people. Much like Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Father Time has been kind to the movie because it was trying for something different instead of just retreading the same ideas over and over again. It attempted to add a mythology to the franchise, like the introduction of a bounty hunter (Creighton Duke) who has a … [Read More...]
